I've been blogging for at least 6 months about the movie "District 9", so you can imagine my excitement when I finally went to see it tonight, unfortunately I chose to go to the MOVIE THEATER OF HELLLLLLLLLL!!!!
As soon as I walked into the theater lobby, I noticed it was only luke cool, and humid. It was only moreso in the actual theater. Since it is a popular movie, it was crowded, which didn't help either. Since the seating is so close together and everybody was uncomfortable, then of course everyone was shifting around in their seats, bumping each other seats, and getting very distracted from the movie.
Regal Gateway 16 ruined my first experience with District 9. My wife ended up having a panic attack from all the heat (NOT the movie, although maybe if we could have paid more attention to it she would have had the pleasure of having a panic attack from the movie...) and we decided to leave.
We were told to go out side to get our money back, and there was a long line of people who were also leaving in droves to get their money back too! It was INSANE.
Apparently, the sound went out for another movie, and for whatever reason they didn't fix it.
A lady in line got in an argument with the teller guy, because the tickets she had were previous refund tickets, and he didnt' want to give her money for them. She loudly explained that she had already been back 6 times (I'm thinking this was an exaggeration - why would she come back 6 times?!) and each time the sound didn't work or it was too hot and that she was never coming back again. She got her money back.
I thought about calling the police. The police probably should go there and arrest everyone that works there, they are seriously robbing people of their time. You see, I don't care about the refund (which I did get back) I want my TIME back!
(Below is an actual picture I took of people waiting in line to get their money back. It was much longer when we first came out there...)
