15 Completely Useless Cryptids

"Cryptid is the official name for semi-mythical beasts, the sasquatches and swampmen of the world."
Every single one of them are REAL.

Creature: The Swamp Kirin:

I bet it tastes like salad and mud...
"One of the more surprising entries coming to Maker Faire this year is from Seabat Studios from Fayetteville, Arkansas. It's called Swamp Kirin, a 9-foot tall, hoof to horn tip, four legged, moss covered thing. Swamp Kirin towers over the masses as it ambles lazily through the crowds. There is no age limit to the wonder that this creature is capable of inspiring."

Mysterious figure

I know this guy. He owes me money...
"A mysterious figure resembling a human being was sighted on the Doha Corniche’s parking lot, according to a report published in a local Arabic daily.
The report is based on the statement of an Arab expatriate lady who said she had seen the strange figure near the Oryx statue while walking in the area.
Quoting the woman, the daily said she took a picture of it in spite of being terribly frightened.
“She was very soon surrounded by a large number of people who also attested to the fact of what she had seen . But it suddenly disappeared out of their sight when they tried to go near it,” the report added."

Walking With Dinosaurs:

"Walking with Dinosaurs: The Live Experience is the biggest animatronic puppet show ever created. There is very little about this £10-million touring spectacle that isn’t monstrously, audaciously supersized. It is based on the BBC TV series of the same name that aired a decade ago and has subsequently become the world’s most-watched documentary, winning three BAFTAs and six Emmys, and attracting a global audience of 770 million viewers."

Giant Nightmare Worm

New Rule, if a worm is longer than 7 inches it's no longer a worm!

"Aquarists at the Blue Reef Aquarium in Newquay have discovered the identity of a mysterious killer that had been devastating their coral reef display over recent months.
Staff had been puzzled by violent attacks on their fragile living reefs – in some cases the corals had been literally cut in half.
After staking out the display for several weeks, aquarists decided as a last resort to take it apart rock by rock.
Halfway through the process the terrifying perpetrator was finally revealed - a monstrous four-foot-long giant reef worm."

Biggest Snake Ever:

"Titanoboa - thirteen metres, one tonne, largest snake ever:"
"This is sure to be one of the most amazing scientific images of the year. You're looking at vertebrae from two species of snake. The smaller model on the left belongs to the anaconda, a giant serpent that can grow to 7 metres in length and weigh as much as 45kg. It's arguably the largest snake alive, so just think about how big the owner of the fossilised vertebra on the right would have been! There's a good reason why this new discovery - the largest snake that ever slithered - has been named Titanoboa. "
