Austin Band: "Lust Murder Box"

The Austin Electro Industrial band "Lust Murder Box" just released their newest cd: "The New Divine", and quite frankly, it kicks ass.

This is a kind of music that you have never heard before. It has many different flavors: Industrial, Metal, Gothic, New Wave, Synth Pop, Punk, Rock, Electro, all wrapped up into a tidy little package that is held together by the genius that is their programmer: Erik

This is Erik's masterpiece. I've been following Erik ever since he first started programming and producing for the Terminal 46, which broke up and surviving members Erik and Nox formed Lust Murder box with Vaughn. If you haven't heard it yet, go listen to the Twisted remix on the Lucid Dementia CD "Song For Newborn" and you'll see what I mean. Well, The New Divine kicks that songs ass.

There is an attractive mix of the female singers (Vaughn) sultry "lusty" voice, and the murderous male vocals (Nox). Although they don't sing together much, their voices definitely compliment each other well. One is left with the impression that there is a story behind the interchanging vocalists and the songs.

DJ's pay attention: Start playing track 1: "Clandestine" and track 12 "Artifact" now, so 10 years from now, when those songs are dance club mainstays you'll be able to say you were playing them first. The others will follow. This stuff is huge, and set's the bar for other aggressive bands.
