As of 2009, Lucid Dementia has been picked to play SXSW = ZERO times.
2009 marks the 2nd time in a row Lucid Dementia has been placed on Standby to play SXSW, which I consider no small accomplishment. I'll take the acknowledgment. At least we know they know we exist.
It used to be really painful when every year someone would ask us a pointed question about if we were playing it, and why not. It's like asking someone who plays the lottery if they've won yet. Well we haven't won the SXSW lottery yet, but we keep playing.
These questions got a lot easier when we were voted best Goth/Industrial band in Austin THE FIRST TIME! It got even easier after the 2nd time we won it.
After all this time, Lucid Dementia holds no ill will towards SXSW. It's a grand festival and has provided many other opportunities for the band.
