The Other Side:

Most people are more afraid of public speaking than they are of death. When the band performs, I enter myself into a state of concentration and my body goes into a kind of shock. It is not me on stage. I am playing a character that is myself inverted. Deep stuff huh?

I was thinking about how some bands bond together like families, and why bands are different then most professions. If the band is any good, then any performance they perform is traumatic.

You practice for weeks, then finally load all your stuff into an unfamiliar van and drive to an unfamiliar place and stand on a stage in front of unfamiliar people. It is at once addictive and horrific. Won't you join me?
